Summer of Gloves
We’re over halfway through wedding season this summer now and we thought we’d share with you some of our favourite moments.
Each time we play a show and see the dance floor come to life it makes music so worthwhile for us! We love seeing a happy crowd and everyone having a great time as it makes it memorable for us too!
June and July for us have been mostly spent in Fareham and Portsmouth, so often that we thought we should invest in a seasonal caravan…Just kidding, but here are some of our highlights!
We had a great secret garden party at Matt’s with a lit up marquee, the crowd literally jumped to the ceiling when we played “We Found Love” then when we had long finished the party goers ended up entertaining us with the full length rendition of American Pie.
Our next stop in Fareham was to HMS Collingwood to play for the Volunteer Band’s Summer Ball, which happened to be fancy dress, they said we should get in on the action…so we did. 80’s style.
Back to business though when we took a quick trip to the Isle of Wight, the weather was absolutely beautiful and after sunning ourselves on the top deck we were welcomed then played to an amazing crowd at Hannah’s wedding.
We also got a little something in the post too, a wonderful thank you card from Vanessa and David, we performed at their wedding in April 2017. These little things really do make everything we do worthwhile knowing that we have made someone’s special day even more special.
We’ve still got a couple more performances in Fareham and Portsmouth to come this month and hopefully they will make it onto our next set of highlights for this season!
See you soon!
