How do I book Boogie Wookie?

How much do Boogie Wookie charge?
The prices are negotiated depending on your requirements such as performance times, arrival/departure time, location and the nature of your event. We will do our upmost to provide you with the best price.
How long does Boogie Wookie play for?
A typical set will consist of 2x 60 minutes performances or 3x 40minutes with at least a 15 minute break in between. However, it is ultimately up to you as we can always adjust the length of our performance for your event and budget.
Does Boogie Wookie require any equipment?
Not at all! The band has all the lighting and sound equipment required (which is all PAT tested). We just require a 5mx4m space with power sockets nearby.
How far does the band travel?
We are based in Berkshire but can travel all around the UK (and abroad!). We will base all travel costs from Reading. Mileage rates are calculated by the recommended charge per mile according to the Musicians Union.
Do Boogie Wookie take requests?
Yes! If the song you have requested is musically and instrumentally appropriate we always try to make our performances special and unique for you! If there is a song you must have at your event such as a first dance, birthday girl/boy’s favourite tune or something a bit seasonal we will learn it for you!
Can we choose our own set?
Unfortunately not. We have years of experience buiding a great set that flows between songs and have our own tricks in guaging the audience, if you give us an idea of what vibe you want for your event we will incorporate it into the set we play. If you have a couple of songs you cannot live without please let us know.
Does Boogie Wookie have insurance?
Yes, we have full public liability insurance.
Do I have to pay a deposit for my booking?
No, we do not require a deposit to secure your booking. You will be required to confirm the booking and return a signed contract to us. 100% of the fee must be paid on the day of performance.
Do you have a cancellation charge?
Yes, if a cancellation is made at least and within 8 weeks of the event a 50% cancellation charge will be required, if the event is cancelled within 4 weeks of the event a full 100% of the agreed fee
Will I be sent a contract for my booking?
Yes, once all the details have been ironed out we will send you a contract with all the details of the event on along with the T&Cs. Once completed you just have to return a signed copy.
My event is outside, can you still play?
Yes. However, the area we play on must be a firm surface such as a stage, minimum requirement of a drum reiser must be supplied. The area must be covered above, back and sides, this is for safety reasons incase of rain or wind.
